Clinical Trial Cost Calculator

Build a transparent first-pass budget from numbers you actually know. We calculate the arithmetic. We do not invent missing CRO, site, lab or vendor prices.

Child-speak: put in what one patient costs, what one site costs, how many patients/sites you plan, and any CRO/vendor numbers you already have. We add it up and show which blanks still control the answer.

What usually makes a clinical trial expensive?

Common drivers include patient count, number of sites, study duration, visit burden, screen failure, investigator grants, monitoring, data management, central labs, imaging, pharmacovigilance, regulatory work, travel, shipping, CRO project management and amendments. The important question is not merely “what does a trial cost?” but “which dollars are buying decision-quality information?”

Why no default dollar benchmark?

A benchmark can be useful for orientation, but protocol-specific site grants, geography, vendor scope and recruitment assumptions can move the real budget substantially. This calculator therefore keeps unknown costs visible instead of silently filling them with a made-up number.
