Clinical Trial Cost Benchmark Reference
A compact, citable reference for clinical-trial cost orientation. Benchmarks are not protocol-specific quotes. Use them to ask better questions, then replace assumptions with actual site, CRO and vendor inputs.
Phase 1 public benchmark
Median and mean tell very different stories.
The public Phase 1 analysis reports a strongly skewed distribution. That is why one headline average can badly mislead a sponsor whose protocol, geography, procedures or site strategy differs from the underlying sample.
Primary benchmark source used here: Clinical Trial Risk Tool — Benchmarking Phase 1 trial costs.
How Hive Prospect uses benchmarks
Benchmark → explicit assumption → actual quote.
- Use the benchmark only to orient the magnitude of the decision.
- Enter what is already known into the free calculator.
- Leave unknown CRO, site, lab, imaging and recruitment inputs visibly unknown.
- Replace those unknowns with apples-to-apples protocol-specific quotes.
- Optimize for the cheapest credible path to the next decision, not the cheapest headline trial.
